Thanks to our incredible employees all around the world, Spirit Week 2024 was a huge success
It’s no stretch to say Spirit Week is a big deal around here. As a six-day celebration of our company and the people who make it special, this annual event gives us a chance to praise each other, honor our best and brightest colleagues, and join in the important cultural discourse that makes e2open a great place to work.
From March 1 to March 8, we celebrated several special days for e2open employees, including Employee Appreciation Day, e2open Day, and International Women’s Day! Here’s a recap of all the great activities that took place.
E2open Employee Appreciation Day
Employee Appreciation Day was established in 1995 by Dr. Bob Nelson, the world’s leading authority on employee recognition, motivation, and engagement. This national holiday gives us the opportunity to celebrate e2open’s most valuable resource. We opened the floor of our all-company community feed for anyone to submit an employee’s name and let us know why they valued them personally and professionally. We also accepted submissions for the Quarterly E2open Global Employee Recognition Program, a program that allows us to acknowledge the efforts of colleagues who make e2open a better place to work and drive its success.
E2open Day
This is a day for us all to celebrate all things e2open: our history, our growth, and the launch of our Fiscal Year 25. As e2open has evolved over the years, so has our brand, and many of us have witnessed the transformation firsthand. All this change has us all very excited for what the future holds.
Over the last twenty years, e2open has become one of the largest and most recognized cloud-based supply chain software companies for the products, services, and expertise we provide. This is primarily due to the hard work, creativity, and innovation of our employees, who come from all corners of the globe. Because our common strengths begin with all our individual differences, e2open Day gives us an opportunity to celebrate the diversity of our team members and the range of experiences, backgrounds, and perspectives that, together, make us stronger and contribute to the growth of e2open.
E2open at a Glance
What’s in a name?
The “E2” is for our end-to-end software platform, and the “open” is for our cloud-based architecture.
International Women’s Day
International Women’s Day (IWD), which took place on March 8, is a global celebration of women’s cultural, economic, and political achievements, professionally and personally. It is a day to embrace women’s diversity of race, age, ability, faith, and identity. During Spirit Week 2024, e2open celebrated IWD with in-office events, email communications, and virtual celebrations.
The theme of IWD this year was #inspireinclusion. At e2open, one of the ways we #InspireInclusion is through our e2open Women’s Inclusion Network (WIN) resource group. The group’s mission is to create a gender-inclusive community at e2open that enables talent of all backgrounds to inspire and empower one another. The goal is to provide the kind of support that can propel professional development for both men and women at e2open while also creating opportunities for team members to connect and grow their network; and increase attraction, retention, and promotion of women at e2open.
Conclusion
Spirit Week is an excellent opportunity for us to celebrate each other and reflect on how far we’ve come as a company. The culture of e2open places a strong emphasis on collaboration because we know that when we are moving as one, we are capable of accomplishing just about anything.
